Direct Drive Wheelbase
In a direct drive wheelbase, the steering wheel is directly coupled to the motor shaft. There are no gears or belts which allows for a smooth realistic experience that can match the feel and forces of manual steering, hydraulic steering, & electric power steering you see in real cars.
Steering Wheel Rim
The Steering Wheel Rim attaches to the Direct Drive Wheel base. There are many options from all the top manufacturers like Sparco, OMP and MOMO. You may want a wheel with Paddle Shifters or a screen that can provide information and telemety data just like in a modern F1 or prototype racecar.
Aluminum Sim Rig
20×80 or 40×80 extruded aluminum profile sim racing rigs are the most adjustable high quality platforms currently available. These rigs do not flex so they provide rock solid performance for ghigh end pedals and direct drive wheel bases.
Motion Platform
A motion system allows for highly reliable training simulators and scenarios that reproduce key immersive elements, like surface textures, velocity, engine vibrations and vehicle dynamics.
Shifters
There a variety of shifter options that provide a realistic gear selection action that matches up to your real life track car. A shifter can be sequential or H pattern to suit your needs. We recommend training with an H pattern shifter at least some of the time.
Pedals
Adjustable pedals are one of most important aspects to a realistic racing simulator. RSR can mirror the pedal positioning of your track car and make sure the braking forces are comparable so you get the most out of your training.
Monitor Mount
Triple monitor mounts are free standing and made from high-grade aluminium profiles. This means the monitor can be precisely positioned with no flex. The monitor mounts we prefer are adjustable in height and arms can swivel.
Monitors
It’s important to consider size, refresh rate, resolution and color accuracy. We recommend using 2k to 4k monitors with refresh rate of 120hz or higher and a 16:9 aspect ratio.
Shaker Seat Pad
A vibration pad can simulate vibrations and forces from the engine and curbs. The vibration pad provides haptic immersion that’s powerful and accurate. Turn down or turn off your subwoofer and still feel all the bass you want.
Tactile Transducers
Unlike a subwoofer that moves air (and loses accuracy and force) tactile transducers move actual mass producing a haptic immersion that’s powerful and accurate. Turn down or turn off your subwoofer and still feel all the bass you want.
Racing Seat
A racing seat can be selected from any of the major manufacturers such as Sparco and OMP. The seat can be reclining or a fixed back bucket seat.
Pedal & Seat Sliders
The baseplate allows pedals to be mounter with a slider, which makes it easy to quickly adjust the position of the pedals relative to the seat.
Custom Computer Build
Custom built gaming computer capable of running sims at a 12k resolution for the three 4k monitors.
Customizations & Cable Management
Simulator will include special customizations so it’s easy to power up and launch sim software.
